\dfrac{x^2}{(x-1)^2(x+2)} = \dfrac{A}{(x-1)} + \dfrac{B}{(x-1)^2} + \dfrac{C}{(x+2)} .  .  . (i)

\dfrac{x^2}{(x-1)^2(x+2)} = \dfrac{A(x-1)(x+2)+B(x+2) + C(x-1)^2}{(x-1)^2(x+2)}

⇒ x² = A(x-1)(x+2)+B(x+2) + C(x-1)²

1 = 0 + B(1 + 2) + C(0)

⇒ B = 1/3

Let x = -2

(-2)² = 0 + 0 + (-2-1)²

⇒ 4 = 9C

⇒  C = 4/9

Let x = 0

0 = A(-1)(2) + B(2) + C(1)

⇒  0 = -2A + 2(1/3) + 4/9

⇒ -2/3 – 4/9 = -2A

\dfrac{-6 - 4}{9} = -2A

⇒ -2A =  -10/9

⇒ A =    5/9

we get,

\dfrac{x^2}{(x-1)^2(x+2)} = \dfrac{5/9}{(x-1)} + \dfrac{1/3}{(x-1)^2} + \dfrac{4/9}{(x+2)}

y = \frac{5}{9}(x-1)^{-1} + \frac{1}{3}(x - 1)^{-2} + \frac{4}{9}(x + 2)^{-1}

y_1 = \dfrac{d}{dx}y = \frac{5}{9}(-1)(x -1 )^{-2} + \frac{1}{3}(-2)(x-1)^{-3} + \frac{4}{9}(-1)(x + 2)^{-2}
